If you're traveling alone, like I was, trust that this place is for you. Between the safety, the caring staff, and the beautiful, tranquil setting, I highly recommend it. I had an early morning flight the next day, and being so close to Lanseria Airport was great because I made my flight right on time. Definitely book Shumba Valley Lodge!

Close to the airport. Clean, beautiful, peaceful accommodations and very friendly staff

Shumba Valley lacks hospitality and their service is very poor. We left the rooms the whole day only to come back to dirty rooms not cleaned. Had to wait until 19:00 for our rooms to be cleaned. The Christmas lunch was very nice but not enough for everyone. It was supposed to be ready by 12:00 but when we got there at 12:40 they were still setting up.

Arried at 3pm and my room was not ready. Given another room and on arrival the room was already occupied. Another room was allocated and one of the staff said they will collect a key for me and on her return she forgot about it. Had to drive back to receiption for a key. There was music paying somewhere around at night. In the morning was also a challenge with breakfast as I was informed that I had to pay for breakfast whereas my payment was for bed and breakfast.
