The Arenal Volcano inn is nice. The grounds are well groomed and the breakfast, though basic, is hearty and sufficient. The pool could be bigger and the plastic card on the key fob, that has to be inserted in the slot IN SOME ROOMS, was not explained well, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

Excellent, Greeted with extremely friendly staff, the room (villa type) was extremely clean and spacious. A great view of the Volcano. Outdoor staff pointed out a Sloth in the trees on the trail and a Toucan in the trees, which we took many pictures of. On-site restaurant has great thin crust pizza and the included buffet breakfast was very good and plentiful. If I was to have one disappointment, it’s that in an area of hot pools and spas the hot tub was less than awesome.
