I would recommend Shuhe ancient town vs Baisha and the main Lijiang Bayan ancient town. Less people. Lots of trees and streams. And this boutique hotel is right smack in the area with local farms and greenery. The team is excellent May (x 2), Mary, Glow, Krepyto, and the rest I can’t name all including kitchen and housekeeping staffs. I had a good 3 nights staying there. I’m grateful for the experience there.

Excellent hotel. Great breakfast. Very nice service. The location is also fantastic near the waterways of Shuhe old town. The only slight shortcoming is that there is not enough table surface to unpack.

Location was perfect and staff were extremely helpful and courteous. My 4YO girl absolutely love interacting to the big sisters staff and resident cats especially Hei Mi (black rice), even now she calls the place as Hei Mi hotel. We had meaningful encounters and chats with other travellers staying at this hotel too. -1 star as our bidet had some operational issues. Other than this, perfect :). Will definitely book again next time when visiting!

Totally unexpected! Beautiful grounds and the room is quite sizeable, spotlessly clean and the shower is great! Very quaint and serene location. Best of all we got to meet the owner whom surprisingly is a Singaporean! Very friendly and hospitable! Would definitely stay here again if I ever visit here!

Young staff who speaks English and are ever willing to help with any requests
