We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of March and had a really great experience. The staff were genuinely helpful and easy to communicate with - they even waited up for us to check in at 1:30am after our flight was delayed, which we really appreciated. The room was simple but very pleasant, and everything was spotless. It was cleaned really well every day. The location is ideal in Cannaregio, which feels much more local and relaxed, but still close to everything. Lots of great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk on the same canal, and an easy walk to the train/bus station too. Would definitely recommend staying here. Cannaregio is a great area to base yourself in Venice.

If you are a light sleeper be careful. This place is absolutely lovely but being old the walls are so thin. I could hear the conversation of the people in the room next to mine. Luckily that's all I could hear. You'll also hear a few other water noises and sometimes chatter from outside. This doesn't bother me though. And I still managed to get some great sleep. It was a really nice location near the train station tucked up from the hustle and bustle. A mild commute in to the main areas but always fun getting lost. Other than the noise which doesn't bother me but I know it will some. I did get a little cold when waking up with just a sheet and blanket but coming from someone used to a duvet. It was absolutely fine. And I'm sure when most people go it will too hot anyways!

The accommodation is lovely, with everything we needed for two nights. Just count on thin walls so you can hear everything, especially in the morning. Nights are quite calm in this area with several little restaurant and bars to eat and drink.
