We recently stayed at Canyon Woods and overall had a good experience. The location is definitely the highlight. The scenery is beautiful, with lots of trees and greenery that make the place feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We also appreciated the complimentary passes to the game zone, which gave us something extra to enjoy during our visit. That said, the property is clearly showing its age and could really use some renovation and maintenance. Our room was generally clean, but there were a few things that stood out. The balcony was quite messy, to the point that we did not feel comfortable spending time there. There was visible bird droppings around the air conditioning unit, the windows were not very clean, and the curtains had tears in them. The furniture inside the room also looked very worn. The chair and table looked old, and the wood finish was visibly faded. It gave the impression that the furniture had not been updated in a long time. One suggestion would be to provide scheduled shuttle services for guests who do not have a car. The church, outdoor pool, and sports courts are quite far from the hotel building, and getting there can be difficult without transportation. The breakfast buffet was probably the most disappointing part of our stay. The setup felt chaotic, the food was left uncovered, and the staff seemed to be rushing around so much that it felt stressful rather than welcoming. The dining area was also very hot, and we did not notice any fans to help with ventilation. We really enjoyed the natural surroundings and the hospitality of the staff, which is why we hope management considers investing in renovations. The place has a lot of charm and potential. It is just a bit sayang because the location is beautiful, but the condition of the facilities does not quite live up to it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Canyon Woods with the Canyon Cove day pass. We went to Canyon Cove first and had a great time swimming at the beach before heading to Canyon Woods. The weather and ambiance made the trip very relaxing. We also enjoyed staying at the clubhouse area — swimming, playing billiards, and just spending time together. The property is very large and surrounded by nature which we liked a lot. Some of the other facilities looked like they could use a little more upkeep, but overall we still had a fun and memorable stay. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly which made the experience even better. Definitely a nice quick getaway from the city.
