Yamashiroya Ryokan Yamagata

This Ryokan is very near Yamagata station making it accessible via train or bus. The staff are also helpful and very hospitable. We were late to arrive as we were able to catch the last train to Yamagata but we are still able to check in. We are both first timers in a ryokan and will definitely book again.

This place offers increadible value for money with a fantastic location that makes exploring easy.

I had a whole 6 or 7 tatami room to myself which was nice! Close to Yamagata station so easy to find, but the train noise wasn't a problem at night. The host was very helpful, and suggested I visit Yamadera, so I went there and really enjoyed it. MaxValu Yamagata, well-appointed 24 hour supermarket, is about 10 min walk on the other side of the station. I would stay here again!

I stayed here for 3 nights and I highly recommend it. The location is perfect, rooms are beautiful and the lady who owns it is very kind.
