Our stay was absolutely exceptional, thanks to our host Xiao Du (小杜) and his incredible hospitality. He truly went above and beyond for us when our luggage delivery was delayed, personally liaising with local services to ensure everything arrived safely. He even took the manual labor off our hands by carrying all our bags up to the second-floor unit, which we appreciated so much. ​Beyond being helpful, Xiao Du was a wonderful guide. He recommended several delicious, well-known local restaurants that ended up being highlights of our trip. We also loved the handmade coffee he served us—it was a fantastic touch! He even noticed the weather and prepared umbrellas for us on a rainy day. ​The location is also unbeatable. The property is just a short walk from Yongning Gate (South Gate/永宁门), making it incredibly easy to visit the City Wall. We also loved being right by Shuyuanmen (书院门); it was such a treat to stroll through this peaceful pedestrian street and browse the traditional calligraphy and art shops without any traffic. It offers a wonderful glimpse into the local culture and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a host who is thoughtful, proactive, and genuinely kind, look no further than Xiao Du. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!"

We stayed 4nites and the staff 杜壮壮is so helpful to carry our luggage and gave good recommendations of local food and place to visit. He also made good coffee and tea👍

Weather was cold in Xi An, but accommodation has a heater which helps to warm up the place. Cosy environment and beautiful roof sighting. Lady boss was helpful and friendly, while the 大姐 housekeeper was very helpful and prompt in rendering assistance. The location was exactly in Scholar Street, hence accessible and easy to find. Lots of amenities around, and it takes about 20-30mins to walk to bell tower. Below the room has afew bar, so you will hear music through the night (may not be something you want if you are a light sleeper or easily disturbed or awake by sound).

The owner was flexible and kind enough to let me check in earlier when i arrived before the allowable chec-in time (subjected to room availability). Also, the owner is super friendly and helpful when i asked about the local food and other tourist related information. Nevertheless, what I liked the most is the cozy design of the entire homestay. Literally feels like home. There's also rooftop and open air garden. Definitely book again if I am going back to XiAn!
