I made the booking, payed online and arrived at the hostel well within check in time. Nobody was there (couldn't call either). Eventually a guy who was living in the same building let me in and contacted the owner. The owner was in Bangkok and nobody was manning the hostel. After a while somebody else turned up who pointed me to my room and gave me the keys but that person seemed to have nothing to do with the hostel. I had to specifically ask for the outside door keycard or I'd have been stuck again. Similar negligence was with other things because in the end I was alone in the building and water was shut off. That means no toilet and no shower. I couldn't access a main water valve either, so in the end I washed myself in the only sink that had water (luckily because the guy was living over the room, that valve was open). A trail of ants in the room was the least of my worries. So long story short, without luck and my vigilance, I'd have been without any washing option or I'd have been stuck outside as soon as I exit the building or wouldn't have gotten in at all. The owner didn't seem to care at all that she had a service that was not operational but took money nevertheless. So, just don't book this place if you actually want a place to stay!
