Nice heritage stay

We stayed for five nights at Savoy Ooty. We were there right in the middle of a holiday period when the hotel was fully booked. But the facilities and guests were managed very well and we did not feel any inconvenience. The place is very well maintained, the staff is coureous and responsive, and the facilities are generally very good. The only less than perfect aspect was the gym, which seemed small and less equipped for a hotel of this nature. But, then, may be, this reflects that most people who visit Ooty do so for holidays and are hardly in a mood to exercise at the hotel gym!!

Very disappointing stay at Taj Savoy, Ooty, especially considering it is marketed as a five-star property. The breakfast quality was extremely poor and nowhere close to the standards expected from a Taj hotel. Room service was another major issue—responses were very slow, and even after staff arrived, requests took an unreasonably long time to be fulfilled. The most concerning problem was the presence of many small insects and mosquitoes inside the room, which caused significant discomfort and made the stay unpleasant. This is completely unacceptable for a luxury property. The stay fell far short of expectations and was deeply disappointing. I chose this hotel trusting the Taj brand’s reputation, but unfortunately, the experience did not justify it at all. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves hygiene, service efficiency, and overall quality.

I just loved this place. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.
