26.05.21My mother and I stayed at the villa for 8 nights. Overall, the experience was acceptable. I would first like to appreciate the kindness and respectful attitude of the staff, who greeted us warmly and responded politely to our queries. The location of the villa is quiet and peaceful, and it is very close to a supermarket, which is convenient. Although it is a few kilometers away from the beach, they offer a free shuttle service, which is a helpful inclusion.
Upon arrival, the receptionist explained a few things before directing us to our villa. However, I believe it would improve the guest experience if someone could assist guests to their villa, help carry luggage, and explain the amenities and facilities inside the room.
As someone attentive to cleanliness and hygiene, I immediately checked the kitchen area and noticed that it was not well maintained. There were visible rust build-up and stains on the refrigerator, cutlery, and portable stove.
The rooms were generally acceptable, and on our first night we stayed in the second bedroom. However, both my mother and I experienced itching during the night. At first, we thought it might have been caused by mosquitoes, but I later noticed that the ceiling fan was heavily dusty, which may have contributed to the discomfort. Additionally, the television screen in the room was damaged, with visible lines across the display.
Because of this, we decided to stay in the first bedroom for the remainder of our visit, but unfortunately the television there had the same issue. We also observed several maintenance issues in the toilet area, such as rust, water stains, mold build-up, and a noticeable drainage smell.
The swimming pool was another major concern. The water appeared unclear and stagnant, and the pool itself did not seem properly maintained. I reported this and requested cleaning. However, when we entered the pool, the tiles felt slippery, and there appeared to be accumulated dirt or mold (I’m not sure coz it’s slippery). We also noticed a dead lizard in the pool, which further raised concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the area. Although the staff cleaned the pool afterward upon our request, I would still like to emphasize the importance of proper pool circulation and maintenance. A pool without proper circulation quickly becomes a stagnant body of water, leading to rapid water quality deterioration and potential health hazards or concerns. Without proper filtration and circulation, sanitizers cannot be evenly distributed, creating areas where bacteria and algae may thrive.
Overall, the kindness of the staff is appreciated, but the maintenance and hygiene standards still need significant improvement, as these issues could greatly affect the comfort and overall experience of guests staying at the villa.
I sincerely hope improvements can be made, especially regarding cleanliness, room maintenance, and pool sanitation, as these are essential to ensuring a safe and pleasant stay for future guests.

-직원들 겁나 친절. 알로나가는 무료 셔틀버스 안내해줌.
와인잔, 모기약 다 빌려줌.
-마트 5분 거리. 이게 극강. 여기서 맥주, 물 다 사다먹음.
-청소는 요청해야 해줍니다. 꼼꼼하게는 안하는 듯...
-모기 많으니까 방으로 들어올때 문 잘 닫아야함.
If you’re a couple, a married pair, or friends looking for a pool villa in Bohol,
this place is an absolute must. The value for money is unbelievable.
Here’s my take on the pros and cons.
The property is a bit old in some spots… (I’d avoid using the kitchen if possible.)
- Hot water works great, and the water pressure is decent compared to other hotels.
- Staff are super friendly. They even arranged a free shuttle to Alona, and lent us wine glasses and mosquito repellent.
- Only 5 minutes to the nearest mart — huge plus! We bought all our beer and water there.
- Cleaning is only done upon request, and they don’t seem to be super thorough…
- Lots of mosquitoes, so make sure to close the door tightly when going inside.
