콜로니얼 호텔

Affordable hotel in the heart of the historical centro area. Staff were great and reception spoke English which was helpful. Room was cleaned every day. The hotel has a small pool which came in handy during the heat. Not the hotels fault however we had a group of rowdy guests who were making noise until midnight for a few nights we were there which was not ideal. The design of the hotel means you can hear the noise from other levels, so everyone suffers. Very close to the auto progreso station for a day trip to the beach. Also one block from the cathedral and square where they often had entertainment on at night.

The staff is super friendly and the hotel is with 2 blocks from the main square,lots of restaurants and shopping.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad de Mérida, pero las habitaciones son pequeñas y las ventanas dan a los pasillos, con lo cual debes tenerlas siempre cerradas. Sólo estuve una noche aquí y no creo que volvería, por las habitaciones. El desayuno es correcto y la atención es buena.

Simple, but good. Extremely clean. Amazing location. Staff was very attentive and nice. Parking is two blocks away, but it’s safe. Would definitely recommend

Our worst hotel in a week long trip I would like to exclude the very nice gentleman who helped us with our luggage from the following review,he was great and gave us the best tips to eat and explore the city. The staff was dry at best, there is a 2 car parking in front of the hotel, they informed me the hotel parking was 3-4 blocks away, I told them I would settle in and then move my vehicle (no other cars wating to get in or anything) came down to get the last of my things and a storm started, went back to the room then my phone started ringing. It was the desk clerk asking me to move my car, I told him I was waiting for the storm to clear since I didn't want to walk 3 +blocks in the rain. Waited a few more then moved the car. The room was tiny, our suit case didn't even fit without blocking the way to the bathroom. The bed was horrible, springs gave out a while ago, it was super uncomfortable and left us with back pain, pillows were old and lumpy requested another one but was told I would get one the next day, I didn't. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it, could've stayed at a better hotel for the same price or less.
