We travelled to Tamassa for our Honeymoon and the Resort was extremely hospitable, they provided a beautiful room decor with amazing refreshments and savouries complimentary as we told them it was our honeymoon. We unfortunately did not take an all inclusive package, but I would definitely recommend all inclusive at this resort cuz it’ll be worth it.

Property is located right on the beach which is almost like a pvt beach and sunsets are beautiful! There are 3 resorts next to each other on that stretch & nothing else. Tamassa is in the center. Roads entering the resorts are well maintained & nice, but completely desolate. We were advised by our taxi driver not to walk on the road after sunset when we wanted to go to the next resort for dinner. So we took the beach route to visit the resorts. There are no local public transport like Yugo taxi service available in that locality. We booked the hotel taxi each day. Just a drop 1 way worked costly for us. Cost of a full day trip however was same as any full day cab booked online. Mauritian taxi drivers work from 8am to 4pm only! Any deviations need to be discussed before the ride. Best transport would be to hire a self drive car I think. Roads are wonderful! Some water sport activity was included in the hotel package which we got to know only after reaching the place. If we knew that earlier, we could have planned our trip better. Most depend on weather conditions & start around 10.30-11am although office opens at 9am. Some activities need to be pre booked! May get cancelled if its windy. We had a difficult time locating our cottage room every time as its a large spread out place. The room numbers were written only next to the room entrance door which were not visible from the path way. It was a major problem at night. The flora & fauna of the place could have been better, given the scope of landscape of this property. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Tamassa was a great stay with super helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and neat. The resort is located right on the beach for kids to play. There aren't many places outside the resort to eat though. You'll have to travel all the way to Black River. The amenities like kids club, gym, boathouse etc are very good. The only thing that they could improve on is their vegetarian food. My wife found the Indian section at the breakfast minimal and didn't taste good. The chocolate bread is very nice but vegetarians might not like it. The pasta at the restaurant was very bland, under seasoned and not worth the amount charged.
