From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the hospitality stood out. Every staff member, from the welcoming front desk to the café baristas, greeted us with genuine smiles and a readiness to help that made us feel immediately at ease. The place itself is truly a charm. Its English inspired architecture feels both unique and inviting, especially set against the peaceful backdrop of mountains and nature. It is the kind of setting that makes you slow down and take it all in. Mornings were a delight, with a superb English breakfast that felt both comforting and thoughtfully prepared. One of the unexpected joys was the presence of friendly little companions around the property. Ducks, chicks, geese, and even a goat added such a simple, wholesome touch to the experience. Surrounded by flowers and fresh air, it became the perfect place to enjoy quiet moments of reflection. The room was just as memorable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows had that perfect huggable softness that made it hard to leave. The bathtub was another highlight, offering a relaxing way to end the day. Even when the weather turned, the service never faltered. On a rainy night when it was difficult to find a nearby place to eat, an attendant went out of his way to guide us to a restaurant. That kind of thoughtful, attentive care stayed with us. Every detail, big and small, spoke of a place that truly cares for its guests. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back.

Very impressed with my stay at Hillsborough The English Country House Hotel & Leisure. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, the food was excellent, and the quality of the accommodation was very good. Even though only one room was available on the day I stayed, the staff still took very good care of us. Their service and attention made the experience especially memorable. Highly recommended.

We were very pleased and noticed much attention to detail in decorations, and maintainance of the property. Garden nice to relax in and very photographic. A oasis for busy people to relax and enjoy a very different kind of Hotel/ resort
