26.02.16Located right at the base of mehrangarh, this is s boutique hotel with a lot of old world charm.
The rooms and bathrooms are well appointed and the food was also decent. A lift is going to be added which will help a lot. Water pressure was a bit hit and miss for the shower.
26.02.03 I would like to share my experience in positive and negative way:
Pros:
1: 450 years old haveli converted into luxary hotel looks amazing. Gives vintage look and suits well.
2: The room is well maintained, and considering the original construction way older, feels amazing.
3: Room has a direct view of Mehrangarh Fort and gives great view in evening and morning.
4: Food and services are also very good.
Cons:
1: This places is inside old Jodhpur city, so no 4 wheeler can reach this places directly, you need to take an auto rickshaw using an amazing bargaining skills, they will charge 150rs otherwise for 1km.
2: Since its inside old city, its full of narrow paths and gullies, loosing the way is quite common here but people are very supportive so they will help you reach safely.
3: Old city is really dirty, everywhere its garbage that significantly discourages the city image.
4: Dog barking in night is extremely loud, couldn't sleep whole night , it was so bad.
