26.02.25There was blood on both the beds in two separate rooms. Shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and was full of what looked like animal hair, as was the rug. The safety latch on the door was broken, and the ice bucket was clearly being used as an ashtray despite there being ashtrays in the room.
25.12.06Lobby area is unfriendly and could do with some chairs so everyone isn't just standing around while waiting. Room keys tend to give trouble. Room of itself is clean and bed is comfortable, however pillows are very small. Bath towels are more like "hand towels" and there are no wash cloths or foot towels. (Receieved old/torn towels as foot towels when requested) Only miniature hand soaps and shampoo are provided. No bath soap or shower gel. Room could do with a coffee maker and 2 paper cups instead of plastic cups. It would have been nice to have a telephone to make contact with at least the front desk. The hotel website advertises continental breakfast however that appears to have discontinued years ago!! This was very DISAPPOINTING and the management needs to update their offerings to not MISLEAD persons.
25.05.18I stayed at the Sheraton in the Bronx expecting at least a clean and safe room. Unfortunately, the facilities were in horrible condition, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
While the staff was courteous and professional, the room itself was unacceptable:
• The microwave was burnt and had visible fire damage, making it a safety hazard.
• The window screen was torn, and there were large cracks around the door, making the room feel exposed and insecure.
• I found hair on the bed and in the bathtub, which made it clear the room had not been cleaned properly.
• The air filter was caked in dust, a serious health risk, especially for someone like me who has asthma.
• There was dust all over the outlets, cords, and light fixtures, and wiring behind the furniture was loose and tangled.
• The bathtub was chipped, the wallpaper peeling, and parts of the bathroom showed mold and water damage.
• Worst of all, the walls were so thin I could hear people loudly socializing and having sex late into the night absolutely no soundproofing.
This property is clearly not being maintained, and it does not meet the standards you’d expect from a Sheraton-branded hotel. It was a deeply uncomfortable stay, and I will not be returning.
