The building is a bit dated but the facility is well kept and the pool is beautiful. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Would recommend staying here for proximity to restaurants/ nightlife/ walks along the ocean (no access to beach itself). Would not recommend the breakfast here though.

Darwin’s biggest outdoor pool! By far the biggest draw card for this hotel and yet it was out of action. We weren’t notified this would be a construction site, nor did we expect that we would be accommodated directly over the worksite. We’d have cancelled our booking and stayed elsewhere. Works commenced on 24/10/22 with our check in on 27/10/22 giving them ample time to have notified us. Thankfully upon check-in, my friend was able to request a relocation to a different part of the hotel so we weren’t awoken to the unrelenting jackhammering. We did have to listen to it throughout our breakfast, the noise is deafening and with sensory sensitivities, I was nearly driven out of my mind. The hotel is dated, requires maintenance, updating to several areas including the toilets off the main restaurant (frightfully unclean in certain areas) Housekeeping did not return to put pillowcases onto my friends pillows, the supplied ones she dutifully added herself yet they smelt musky/mildewy. The rest of the linen was sufficient and clean however providing hotel pool towels in the room would have been appreciated, given we had to walk from the hotel to their sister hotel to use the pool there. Room service menu was sampled - a midnight pizza - which was frozen, over cooked, overpriced and rather unpalatable. Bar snacks on offer at the sister hotel were frozen items, chucked in the deep fryer - the same as a dirty takeaway Bain Marie feed you’d find at a regional truck stop. While staff were attentive and provided excellent service, the cocktail making/bar skills were woeful with several ridiculously over-sweet and poorly made cocktails delivered. When pointed out, staff replaced the mouldy bread in the breakfast buffet bread basket. While the buffet looks appealing, the scrambled eggs were slop, the boiled eggs needed a second internal layer peeled from them to make them palatable and the over cooked oven baked bacon was virtually inedible. Nothing special and nothing intimate or charming about this property. Bit soulless and my room was as far as you could be from reception. Room was ok standard but bathroom lame and disappointing at over $500 / night. Buffet breakfast uninspired and very basic standard. Nothing tasty or special. Even at 7am the food looked and tasted limp and either overcooked or sausages undercooked . Darwin’s great though. Sorry

There are no snacks to be able to buy when you want a drink at nighttime - nuts or chips would have been great or even a vending machine with snacks etc. however bar staff were lovely- great service
