Great hotel, clean central to shopping pubs, cafes and the waterfront.

What a horrible experience. Where to start: Check in: Absolutely ridiculous. I turned up at 2pm check in time. The lady first couldn't find the booking even though it was booked and paid for in full through Agoda 2weeks prior. I produced Driver's licence identification and booking numbers and the email with the booking confirmation but she was still doubtful that I was who I say I am! I was made out to be a liar! Still trying to prove to her I show her another email receipt and showed her my driver's licence bank card gave her my registration details she then said ok I guess but I hope the guest doesn't turn up!? Again wtaf??? I am the "guest" being treated like a criminal!! Keep in mind the dump of a place was empty with only one other guest in the whole building.. anyway when I finally get the key I open the door to a dark dusty shoebox of a room.. nothing like the light bright "clean" photos.. I was already so put off by the treatment I had at the front desk checking in and then seeing the dark dusty tiny room.. I just had to leave.. I just had to cut my losses of hundreds of dollars wasted on what was supposed to be a nice 2 night getaway with my partner after a very stressful few years. I hadn't been away in 10yrs and it will probably be another 10 years if ever until I can go away again as I have children with disabilities. Save yourself the mistake I made and book somewhere else!!

Room was perfect for what we needed, would definitely recommend, prime location and nice staff

Location was in walking distance to mostly everything. Was great being able to walk to dinner. Overall the hotel could do with an upgrade but was ok for a night.

I been using Bay city for years for my business trips. Great location, the room is tidy and well setup
