The hotel is old and in desperate need of updating. You can’t call it a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is terrible, better eat somewhere else. The spa cost extra, even though the hotel is overpriced for what it is.

If you're looking for a place to treat yourself after the camino this isn't it - the walls are paper thin so you won't get the hotel experience you're looking for. It's also quite far from the city centre so you're probably better off getting an airbnb or other hotel. Staff were perfectly friendly and ordered me a taxi (unmetered) although I later saw there's a (metered) taxi rank just down the road that they didn't mention.

I would reluctantly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Santiago de Compostela by car. Not far from the town centre, Ample free parking around the hotel. This city is primarily the final destination of Christian Pilgrims who travel on foot for days and end their pilgrimage at the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. There is a supermarket near the hotel which can be handy. Be advised: there is no kettle or iron in the room! We asked but they refused to give us a kettle in the room. They expect you to buy Coffee in their coffee shop. In our suite the bathroom extractor and two light bulbs did not work. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was ample with good variety of food.
