For an inexpensive two-star hotel, you can't reasonably expect more than this. The location is very convenient. The zone is famously decayed and the neighborhood is ugly, but it's at walking distance of most of the places of interest and there are supermarkets and places to eat nearby. I booked a single room with private bathroom. The room was very small with a twin bed and nothing else. The bathroom was nice for a hotel of this type, with a good shower. The accommodation is simple, but bed and pillows were good, and nice and clean linen and towels, changed every day. My room faced a quiet back street and it had good hermetic windows, so it was very quiet without street noise and I could sleep very well. It also had AC, which was very valuable in the heat we had during my stay. Considering the ridiculous prices for accommodation in Barcelona, this hotel is a good option if you have a limited budget and not great expectations.
