26.01.26This is a wonderful hotel where you can enjoy a cozy atmosphere and have Wat Arun right in front of you.
The complimentary breakfast and free drink vouchers at the rooftop bar were also great.
Most of all, when I was in trouble, the staff kindly helped me, and thanks to their support, everything was resolved smoothly. I would like to sincerely thank them for their kindness.
25.10.26The only reason anyone would patronise this hotel is for the view, especially at night.
The rooms are OK, we had the ideal Wat Arun view but outside of that it was rather average. Here are a few thoughts:-
1. The major areas of this hotel/restaurant/bar is wooden. Staircases are steep and slippery, as are the room floors, certainly not ideal for aged, infirm or disabled. I believe the whole building is a health and safety nightmare and in many countries officials would instantly close it down.
2. Breakfast is served in a sister hotel, two blocks away and over 100 metres walk. Added to that there were 3 choices, set American breakfast, Thai rice porridge and soup and pancakes.
The former was served attractively but it was still "cremated" bacon, fried processed ham with fried "plastic" sausage. A few additional items on the side included corn flakes (only), toast, croissants, orange juice, coffee etc. Standard fayre but I think at B4000+ a night it was poor.
3. The hotel has a restaurant and rooftop bar all offering the Wat Arun view . . . . and you pay for that view!! Prices are extortionate, 3-4 times what you would pay in a quality Bangkok hotel. Eg. Singha beer B320, small bottle. Food and drink prices follow this example.
4. The staff were appalling, other than a girl on reception, uninterested and surly. At these prices customers deserve much better.
I don't like giving negative reviews but I see no reason why any visitor would want to stay any more than one night or one meal or a drink. Have the view and move on!!!
To be honest if you want the evening view, go to 7-Eleven, buy some food and drink then sit on the Wat Pho pier and the view is just the same.
I can only recommend the view.
