This hotel is right in the middle of town, which is super handy! The only thing is, the room's a bit old-school. And honestly, that bathtub looks kinda grubby; I reckon they should just ditch it. Still, I'd totally recommend it for travelers!

Value For Money

Stayed two nights at Tanahmas. On the positive side, the bellman, housekeeping, and some reception staff were friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated being given a higher-floor room, and the location is a plus. The pool water was clean, but the surrounding edges looked stained and some drainage grates were loose, which raised safety concerns. Food was disappointing overall. I wasn’t expecting much but breakfast still fell short, even by basic standards. However, the omelette on the first day was good but it wasn’t consistent the next. Room service was underwhelming. The pasta was dry with barely any sauce, and the potato salad was confusing, with a small portion of potatoes and apples, served alongside a Caesar salad and a boiled sweet potato. The most concerning issue was finding a piece of plastic in the laksa gravy. I reported it politely, but the response felt indifferent. Overall, not the worst stay for a smaller town like Sibu, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
