26.03.19Hotel looked ok from the street but first thing I noticed when entering the room was a strong smell of cleaning chemicals that seemed to be attempting to cover the smell of cigarettes. Upon opening the mini-fridge I found many half-consumed drink bottles and food scraps in bags, paper cups, and spilled along the bottom. Among the other things I'd consider sub-par: there was no sheer curtain to allow light into the room, only the blackout curtain which isn't great for my ground floor room; paint drips on the floor added to the feeling of the room being unclean; finally the lighting was just felt weirdly placed with switches all over. I had to book late for a conference so I didn't have many options, but I likely wouldn't consider this an option for next time I book a room in Palm Springs.
