I loved the hotel, and the set up if the place. The staff was very helpful and nice. The road getting to the hotel sucks... Potholes everywhere. You almost need a 4WD, or just go very slow. The room and vibe was very tropical, and ocean garden like. The view was great, with the ocean very close to our hotel door. I was kind of upset that there was no TV, but since I was there to relax, I didn't need the TV... I sat outside and enjoyed the view. What I DID need was a refrigerator in the room, and there was none. That's my one suggestion, adding a small fridge to keep water or soda cold. Most of the rooms I have found, here in the Philippines, have them. But that was a small inconvenience, compared to the beautiful ambience. We even bumped into where they keep the homing pigeons. Apparently the owner (or someone there) races them. My wife talked to the young guy who was taking care of them. I really don't know much of what he told my wife, since they were speaking Bisaya, but the part my wife relayed was very interesting about the pigeon races. We'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights. Pros: Staff and owner were amazing. Laid back vibe at resort. Meals at the resort were prepared well. Nice flora at resort. Free coffee and water refill provided all day. Cons: Price seemed high, given the location and no breakfast was included. Access to white sands beach requires walk down rocky beach or transport - it's not far, but not as convenient as staying on the beach. Pool did not have water circulation system.

It was great staying at Blue Orchid, the food was nice especially the blue orchid omelette it was the best omellette i have tasted, the room was clean with good view and good natural sun hitting you in the morning, beachfront where you can spot some turtles and lots of sea urchins (be careful) the owners and staff was nice they accomodate me from transportation and special request! Highly recommended! See you soon!

The access to Moalboal is in general difficult with a car, but everything was made easy by the local staff. We noticed something unorganized regarding the payment information, but figured it out.

Best to stay here if you want time away from the city. Road going to the resort is rough and bumpy. There is a toll fee for guests of Blue Orchid. Place is 30 mins away from Panagsama Beach where restos are located.
