25.06.10Excellent service by staff to arrange and keep futon in tatami room. Private onsen was true to Kusatsu reputation, very hot, took me longer to adjust, it was enjoyable . Carpark was available but at an unknown location, we just passed the key to staff. Overall a good experience in a traditional Japanese setting.

25.04.20We stayed at matsumuraya ryokan for two days and had a great time. The staff walked us through everything and their hot water spring bath was amazingly refreshing. Well located as well and the rooms are spacious. Would recommend!

25.01.16숙소는 저렴하고 주인분은 친절하지만 난방이 잘 안되고 숙소가 확실히 낡은 느낌이 있습니다. 숙박할 때 탕이 뜨겁다고 여러번 강조하시지만 목욕탕 열탕정도의 온도로 많이 뜨겁지는 않습니다. 보통 아는 일본 료칸을 생각한다면 서비스가 없다시피해서 많이 아쉽지만 다다미방과 료칸 건축 양식을 체험한다고 생각한다면 나쁘지는 않습니다.

25.01.06Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Room was very traditional and comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented, very tasty and of high quality.

26.01.18I left my ipad at this accomodation and could not go back to get it in the middle of my trip. They refused to post it back to my country when we paid a lot of money to stay there. They couldn't offer an extra step of kindness.
