26.04.16We loved this place. Staff were brilliant, room was immaculate and probably the best we’ve stayed in. V fun for kids, pool has a perfect sea view and well positioned, good size.
26.04.09As good as it gets. Only slight downside is not super clear sea water as it’s an estuary but you’re there for Surin mainly which is stunning. The resort, rooms and staff are some of the best we’ve ever found and at very reasonable prices
26.04.09We absolutely loved our stay at C&N, such a beautiful beach with pool right beside and excellent restaurant and little bar. The staff were so lovely, our daughter Lily was really sad to leave them! We were there with a bigger group and loved playing volleyball in the late afternoons. The huts are huge and so much room for a family of 5 to all stay together. We did a tour to the similan islands which was very easy to get to. We loved our stay and will likely return!
26.03.25I had a very pleasant stay at C&N Kho Khao Beach Resort and would absolutely recommend it, especially for travelers looking for a quiet, relaxing island experience.
The property itself was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable, which made a noticeable difference after long travel days. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and laid back, which is exactly what you want on a small island. The view was absolutely amazing, and the sunsets over the ocean were the perfect ending to each day. The cool ocean breezes helped offset the scorching daytime temperatures, making the environment even more enjoyable.
This is not a party hotel, which I personally appreciated. There is no loud music, no nightclub scene, and nothing overly busy or disruptive. There is a small bar on site with some music, but it is played at a low volume and does not go late into the night. Most of the time, you can simply hear the natural sounds around you, which adds to the overall calm and relaxing experience.
The food was good and reasonably priced. If you include breakfast with your room, there is a small but sufficient buffet offered each morning. The on site restaurant is open for lunch and dinner until 9 PM, which is convenient. In addition, there are small locally owned beach food options nearby, and if you head toward the pier, you will find a few more choices. For a wider variety, you can take the ferry back to Khao Lak, but that requires planning.
Transportation logistics are important here. Ferry schedules are strict, especially for vehicle transport, so if you have an early flight, you must plan accordingly. If you are traveling without a vehicle, longtail boats are available outside normal hours for an increased fee, typically around 100 Baht instead of the standard 20 Baht.
A few practical tips that will improve your stay. Because the island is surrounded by water, there are mosquitoes, so it is a good idea to bring or purchase insect spray before arriving. Also, while there are animals around the property, including some very friendly stray dogs, it is best not to pet them as they are not vaccinated. That said, the dogs are surprisingly well behaved and tend to calmly follow staff or rest near guests without being disruptive.
Overall, this is a great destination if you understand the nature of island travel and plan accordingly. Clean accommodations, comfortable rooms, beautiful views, and a peaceful setting made this a very enjoyable stay.
