26.03.19Ca’ di Dio is truly one of the most stylish modern luxury hotels in Venice. Set within a beautifully restored 13th-century building that once served as a pilgrims’ hospice, the hotel reopened in 2021 with interiors by renowned Italian architect Patricia Urquiola. She has done an exceptional job blending contemporary design with traditional Venetian craftsmanship, creating a space that feels both serene and sophisticated. The use of warm natural materials, soft lighting, and subtle maritime touches gives the hotel a calm, refined atmosphere.
Location-wise, it is perfectly positioned—just a 10-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square. While the square itself is often crowded and bustling, Ca’ di Dio offers a peaceful retreat away from the chaos, yet remains conveniently close to all the key sights. There are also many restaurants right outside the hotel, making it very easy and enjoyable to explore the area.
The hotel itself is stunning—modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. What truly sets it apart, however, is the warmth of the service. We travelled with our dog, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find two handwritten cards—one from the hotel and another from the housekeeper. This thoughtful gesture is rare and speaks volumes about the level of care and attention to detail.
Breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection and high-quality offerings. I would highly recommend including it in your stay.
Overall, the team at Ca’ di Dio delivers hospitality at its finest—warm, attentive, and seamless. Everyone works together effortlessly, creating a truly memorable experience. Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.
