good hotel, great location, great breakfast included

Perfect choice for our trip and very pleased stuff

Good hotel in convenient location. Major tourist attractions and great restaurants in walking distance or easy accessible with public transport. The room was super clean, the breakfast average to good. Breakfast room has the atmosphere of a Youth Hostel. Except for few single tables, everyone has to sit at a long table for around 30 people. Privacy is msissing. The night receptionist (male) was very friendly and attentive, all othe receptionists during the day (all female) were unfriendly on the border of rudeness. During our 4 days the hotel was not able to repair the elevator, so that we have to climb up and down several times a day to and from the 4th floor (catastrophe). The attached and very good restaurant is pricy but offer excellent food. When you are a guest of the hotel, you get 10% discount and a priority reservation. All in all a mixed experience.

We really liked this little hotel only a few minutes walk to an SBahn station, lots of cafes and restaurants and a REWE supermarket. A 9 minute train ride to Brandenburg Gate. Our room was spotless, spacious and quiet - a welcome haven from the bustle of Berlin for a family not used to city life. The buffet breakfast offered a decent variety including basic gluten and lactose free options. We easily caught the SBahn at 5.45am for the airport with luggage (changed trains once) - there may have been a lift but we carried our suitcases down the stairs to the station. There’s one thing holding this little hotel back from earning full stars - the customer service. While staff were mostly polite and helped with inquiries, there is a sense of apathy and discontent among the staff and it flows into the way they relate to customers. In my opinion management would do well to invest in some team building.

Clean. Great location. Sumptuous breakfast. No frills or frilly bits. No nonsense city centre hotel. Good water pressure. I look forward to staying here again.
