25.11.02Clean hotel, check-in was efficient and the room was decent and even had a tub. The window coverings were really weird, alternating black and white horizontal stripes that theoretically block most of the light when aligned perfectly. But they don’t align perfectly- and with my best attention I could still see into the room a little bit, though just near the heater.
Had to crank the heat and got some level of sleep, but it was greatly diminished by the paper thin blanket and sheets that are best designed for 100 degree nights rather than the cold autumn evenings. This is an awful trend, hotels used to have spare blankets in rooms by default but the best you can do is double over your thin blanket and/or throw towels on you. I’m going to have to start bringing Mylar emergency blankets whenever I travel, this is ridiculous.
Again, 2-star accommodations with a few personal annoyances. Tub was great, and counter space ample, no carpets so more hygenic. There’s a free CCS EV charger right across the street, which brings up the appeal of this hotel immensely. Run back and forth and you’re set for another day’s drive.
Breakfast was pretty disappointing. All carbs- and not much of them. The typical waffle iron, some cereal and milk was about it. Had to ask for coffee to be made at the peak of breakfast, which was somewhat surprising.
It’s a beautiful location, easy walk to many great restaurants and other amenities. This is a very cool town and has a lot of charm, even a simple native America’s cultural center as well as 5 miles to the Law Museum which was surprisingly rich and broad, and really good use of an hour.
So I’d stay here again, but I’ll be sure to have purchased a good warm travel blanket. And I’ll plan on buying breakfast at a restaurant, as waffles and cereal isn’t my ideal “complete meal.” Nice clean place and for under $100 I’m relatively okay with the value for money paid.
24.09.30Older but nice, large room, comfy bed. Location perfect for walking downtown. Only issue was a few ants at night. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good.
24.08.01The worst check in experience I’ve ever experienced. Minimal English and a very bad attitude. We had no Wi-Fi and the TV did not work. For an indignant and unhelpful reaction from the staff. More trouble during the drawn out payment process.
The motel itself is okay but the rude staff made for an extremely unpleasant check in experience.
