26.02.03Choeng Mon is not for everyone. If you want the "delights" of Pattaya, this is not the place for you.
If you want a fairly relaxed hotel on the beach where you do not need to put a towel on the bed at dawn, this could be for you.
The pool is plenty big enough if you want a change from the beach.
PS Thana Resort, could be described as homely, or laid back, relaxed but that would under rate the experience.
The team are simply great, friendly, welcoming, genuinely pleased to see you.
Should you have a car or motorbike the hotel offers parking.
Our room is huge, with a large bed with very effective A/C. The ensuite (bath, seperate shower, sink & WC) is also large. The hot water does take a while to arrive.
Housekeeping are great, probably changing linens more ofter than expected. The usual supplies are kept topped up, they even put the new bottles of water in the fridge.
The hotel has a restaurant that is open after the breakfast service, from lunch through the evening. The food is good, priced fairly with an ocean view.
There is a wide choice of restaurants nearby, as expected mainly focused on Thai food but Indian, Italian food also on offer.
This is our 4th stay and we are already planning our next trip.
25.10.23The hotel is located right by the sea, which would have been nice if we’d had better weather. In general, the room looks like it was designed in the 90s and hasn’t been updated since — with odd colors and wallpaper featuring bear drawings that gave a somewhat poor impression of the place. The hotel’s location is a bit far from the main street with the shops, so I wouldn’t really recommend it for a quick stopover. However, for a short stay away from the crowds, it could be a fine option.
