I was quite disappointed with my stay at Minura Sur Menorca. The hotel itself is very basic, but what stood out the most was the lack of customer service. On my last night, there was significant noise in my wing — doors slamming, shouting, and people partying from around 5:00 when I woke up because of the noise. It was impossible to sleep. When I reported this to reception at around 10:00am, I was met with a very dismissive response (“yes…”) and no apology or attempt to show any concern. I was also told that I should have reported the issue at 5:00am. While I understand that notifying staff earlier might help, as a guest who had been woken up suddenly in the early morning, I was simply exhausted and trying to get back to sleep rather than go downstairs and escalate the situation at that hour. Given that I had effectively not slept at all, I asked if I could check out just 1–2 hours later to rest. I was told I would have to pay a late check-out fee. I tried to explain the circumstances and asked if they could make an exception even for one hour, but the staff were unhelpful and quite rude, and refused unless I paid. After a sleepless night caused by noise within the hotel, I would have expected at least some understanding or flexibility. Instead, the overall attitude felt rigid and lacking empathy. Overall, the experience was disappointing and felt very impersonal. I would not return.
