Great location with a flair of old world . Grounds nicely kept . Wide and expansive . Staff overall great . What marred my stay was that at that time there was some govt. delegation . Place v . crowded. I am ashamed to say the delegation public somewhat uncouth, loud , entitled lacking in general manners and behaviour . They behaved they owned the place . The dining areas exceptionally busy, crowded, loud . On top of it the Santoor playing was competing with the general noise . Took away the pleasure from dining Place is probably much nicer when less crowded .

There’s no denying that The Lalit Srinagar is one of the most beautiful properties you’ll ever visit. The setting, framed by majestic mountains and the serene Dal Lake, is truly breathtaking. The Chinar trees spread across the lawns lend an almost otherworldly charm - standing under them feels like stepping back in time. However, once you look beyond the beauty of the property, the experience itself falls far short of true luxury. At best, it feels like a four-star experience masquerading as a five-star one. The hygiene standards are disappointing - small things that you’d expect from a luxury hotel are simply overlooked. For instance, I left a glass in the gym one evening, and to my surprise, it was still in the exact same place the next day. The breakfast experience was the most underwhelming aspect of the stay. The spread was limited and uninspired, comparable to a three-star business hotel at best. When I asked for an eggs benedict, the kitchen staff clearly didn’t know how to make it, a surprising lapse for a hotel that positions itself in the luxury segment. It’s clear that while the property itself is extraordinary, it is not managed with the finesse or attention to detail that you’d find at an Oberoi or Taj property. The Lalit Srinagar simply lacks that polished, intuitive service and seamless experience that define true luxury hospitality. That said, the staff deserve praise- they are warm, genuinely friendly, and do their best within the systems in place. My feedback is in no way a reflection on them personally. Overall, The Lalit Srinagar is worth visiting for its location and architectural beauty, but it’s not a luxury stay in the truest sense. I’d consider returning only when the prices reflect the actual experience, that of a pleasant, scenic four-star property, rather than a five-star one.

We went for a holiday on June 19th 2025, and the hotel was only occupied with 20 - 25% capacity. So the pool was not heated, facilities were restricted. The food menu was very limited. Even though the hotel was good and a great place, with spacious rooms but many things were non operational. Only 1 restaurant was working. The breakfast Buffet was very limited.

This was the most beautiful property ever. It has beautiful lawn and breakfast is served in the lawn which was the best part. Staff is very welcoming and everything was too good.

I belong to Srinagar. My house has been occupied by a trespasser . Lalit makes me feel at home. It’s warm ,homely , safe and beautiful . Will be there soon again. 🤗
