After moving rooms during the holidays, the staff did anything but make it an easy experience. I had to take my things from one room to the other but they took the key to the room i was leaving keeping it propped open with a shoe. I had several bags and things in the bathroom. I made a couple trips and then went one more time to make sure that I had everything. The cleaning person was in the room, I looked around and told her that I had just moved down the hall of i had inadvertently left anything, if she could just let me know. Two days later I realized that I was missing a couple things, namely my medications, since I was down to the last day of those in the weekly container I use. I checked with the front desk, he did not know but said that he would check with the next person and housekeeping. I asked the front desk that night, the next morning and asked the housekeeping staff the next day. I thought i may have taken it to my friend's place on Christmas but it was not there. I was also now missing doses of medications for a couple conditions. I knew that ìf i didn't find them very soon, I'd need to contact the doctor, deal with the insurance because of early refills, etc. And I could possibly get sick from not taking them. I checked out, asked again hoping it was somehow there and then left. After nearly a week I was near the hotel, had a Dr. appt the following day and decided to check again, just in case. It was early evening, the front desk guy showed me around all their bag holding areas then took me downstairs to the lost and found. In the bottom of the box were my medications and a few other odd my items. A few things were missing. They're was a note with the date and initials of the housekeeper. It was from the day I changed rooms. She did not bring my items or let me know that same day that I told her that I sf just down the hall. Asking multiple employees on multiple days I was given no honest help even my items were there the whole time. The housekeeping should not be working in that job. The entire staff needs a better procured and training and I shouldn't have had to go through this for so long. It is crazy. I really enjoyed my stay while there but cannot recommend anyone staying there Street this experience... at least without some reassurance that they have a policy in place that is followed by everyone and that the cleaning person is no longer working they're l there. I'm still missing a few things but at least I got my medication eventually.

I stayed 1 night at this hotel. I liked the how the front desk staff addressed my concerns about double billing. Showing an effort to make things right makes me confident in staying here again. I like supporting historic hotels. My room was clean and the breakfast and coffee was appreciated. I stayed in a queen room with bathroom not all rooms have bathrooms. The only downside was the mattress was not as comfortable as I hoped for, more plush would have been nice. I would consider staying here again perhaps ina Deluxe king room.
