No microwave for your leftovers, pool is ok but the staff are slow and not accommodating. Check in was painful over 30 min mid-day.. don’t really go if your looking to make this a vacation place.

Motel 6 - Scottsdale Dwindling value!!! This is a well located, unremodeled and clean property, but hidden charges are becoming a problem. A strict adherence to a 3pm c/i or a $20 dollar fee is charged. I used to be able to c/i at this property at 8am or noon as long as the room type I reserved was available and at no extra charge. I arrived a few minutes before 2pm and had to wait at the pool so I didn’t incur this exorbitant fee. If parking in the excessively large parking lot, this property now charges a $10 dollar a night fee to park “on property” which in my opinion is a highly questionable practice or even ethical. Also consider this area is a high taxed zone because it is located in Scottsdale, a higher tax rate is present. So what “appears” to be an affordable rate is now a nickel and dime situation. I also received a message from this Motel 6 concerning Covid-19 protocols and the massive plexiglass barrier is still present at the front desk, so I am not sure the owner or Motel 6 is aware of current events or is continuing to use the pandemic to justify limited services and a visually horrendous front desk?

Motel 6 - Scottsdale This is a franchised Motel 6 and if you have noticed changes at other Motel 6 properties, being a franchised Motel 6 makes a (positive) difference. This is top tier for Motel 6 and the property is well taken care of (especially due to its location), but still has the old style room appearance. I had two different rooms while there (extended my stay) and both rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The property has a nice clean pool area and the location is very safe. This Motel 6 even has true tub/showers and provides shampoo, sounds funny, but this is not a norm (from my experiences) with Motel 6. This property has a restaurant on site and Scottsdale Fashion Square is right next door, so this location is prime for a savvy traveler where location and affordability is a must.
