Booked here after last minute, to do the Hearst Castle tour. Check in was simple, as was the room. The bathroom needs updating, as does the amenities - the coffee maker made coffee that tasted like plastic, no fresh milk. The restaurant onsite was very strange, more like a local bar environment than a restaurant for guests having dinner. I asked the barman for a red wine list, he replied to the wine we wanted by saying "it's much cheaper at the bottle shop next door". My partner went and bought the bottle and came back to the restaurant. The Barman then said "you cannot bring it in here and drink it, we sell it here". As we were travelling home the next day, we couldn't consume the wine and threw it out. We were not happy and will contact the Hotel Manager regarding this.

Coffee in the room was awful. We couldn’t drink it. It was staying there just for picture. Online it says breakfast is included but nope all we got is 10% of discount from restaurant next to it which was fine but not the perfect breakfast.. Other than that room was fine really clean and nice so it’s worth it to stay there for a couple of nights and it was not so expensive. Stuff was very nice.
