There’s a kitchen, bath, and a living area. You can chill out in a tatami room and watch tv or work after going to the onsens. This isn’t a ryokan or anything like that. Theres no public bath in the vicinity, but it doesn’t need it. If you wanted to onsen hop you can just go to one of the 3 onsens sponsoring the 2100 yen stamp pass. What this place does have is a nice picturesque image of what a home in Japan is like. Close to the bus stop and close to a foot bath. If you want groceries it’s also just around the corner. Very good value.

The house has a very traditional Japanese style—neat, clean, and well-organized. There are two shared toilets and one bathroom. The location is quite convenient, not too far from the center, with several supermarkets just 3–5 minutes’ walk away (opening around 10 AM). However, this property does not allow children under 18. This rule was not clearly emphasized when booking on Agoda. My son is 12 years old but was listed as an “adult” on Agoda, so I was able to book a room with 3 futons without any issue. Upon check-in, the host noticed his age and initially refused our stay. At that point, cancellation on Agoda was not possible and we were fully charged for 2 nights. We had to consider booking another hotel room since occupancy rules in Japan are very strict, and the room size would not accommodate extra arrangements anyway. It was quite stressful having to decide who would stay and who would move, especially with limited travel time and mixed luggage. Fortunately, after some time, when I returned to leave our luggage and look for another hotel, the host agreed to let us check in on the condition that we remain very quiet. This review is meant to share an important note for families traveling with children, not to criticize. Please make sure to double-check age policies before booking.

My stay was excellent from check-in to check-out. The staff were polite and helpful, the room was clean and quiet, and the amenities were well maintained. The location was convenient for transportation and nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.
