Yonagoya

Very happy with my stay. Great staff and nice facilities.

We arrived quite late around 9pm after a long drive from Kyoto. The ryokan owner was very kind to turn on the onsen for us to bathe. Room was spacious with gas heater. Good view to the river behind the property. Breakfast served with various side dishes, free-flow rice and water. They also lent snow sled for my kids. There are few ski equipment rental shops nearby. Also walking distance to one of Hachikita Kogen lift.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great location for the winter ski / snowbord enthousiasts. It's just a short walk to chair lift to bring you to the ski area / lifts, and to the public onsen right behind! The Inn also offers great food, the rice itself is quite amazing (seriously!) and of course the Tajima beef is definitely worth trying the upgrade! Will definitely go back.
