이카호 온센 요코테칸

처음으로 간 료칸이었는데 원하는 그대로였고 오히려 기대를 넘었었습니다! 일본식 옷도 제공해줘서 그걸 입고 온천갈때는 기분이 너무 좋았어요. 일본식 옷 입고 요코테칸 앞에 서서 사진도 찍기 너무 좋았어요. 공용화장실은 불편한점은 거의 없었고 밤에 화장실갈때 조금 추운정도였습니다. 정말 만족했습니다.

Excellent location at around 266 steps on the Ikaho Stone Stairs (365 steps in total). It's a few steps away from the famous Yunohana Manju. The popular Osawaya restaurant (for trying Mizusawa udon) is at the bottom of the stairs. This hotel is perfectly located for exploring the Stone Steps at night when the tourists have gone home (almost all shops are closed, but a craft beer restaurant was still open after dinnertime). Loved the private bath facilities available here. We had a tatami room, where the toilet and sink was a shared facility right outside our room. Shower was available at the public bath area (or you could book a private bath for free). Meals were served in private rooms, for both dinner and breakfast. Quite a unique experience. English wasn't much spoken here, we used Google Translate a lot to communicate. If you're driving, parking is at a private car park (check website for details). A small hotel shuttle van will pick you up to bring you to the hotel. It doesn't seem like a walkable distance with luggage. The shuttle service to the car park is complimentary. What I loved best? The golden waters in the private bath.
