I requested an early check-in while in advance, because it was for a short flight transfer. I called again in the morning on my check-in date to remind them about my request, but when I got there at 1pm, the room wasn't ready. Fine, I understand special requests are based on availability. I arrived before the check-in time, I can't complain. So I decided to go out in the city for lunch and shopping. When I came back to the hotel at 4:30pm, the room was still NOT ready! This was way past the check-in time of 2pm. I don't need the hotel room all night, I only needed it for a short rest and refresh, and they just can't get this right! I booked a twin, they assigned me a double with an extra bed. And they kept laying to me that it is a twin room. Sorry, I have never seen a twin room with different sized beds! Oh, btw, the airport shuttle, don't count on it if you are in a hurry. It takes a long time to come.

I was staying in the hotel for training and extended my stay by a few days. My room was large and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. 2 x bottles of free water every day and the room was expertly cleaned. Fridge was not cold enough. Toilet got blocked twice and they were in there until 1 am in morning sorting it out. Pool deck no longer has a pool. Massages are reasonably priced and excellent. There is a cake shop, hair dresser and beautician on site. Some staff had very little English. Some toiletries are provided, along with a comb, toothbrush and toothpaste. There is a bar in the hotel that had international and local brands of beer, cool drinks and spirits. Food on the restaurant buffet has a large variety of Ethiopian dishes, which I loved. Halaal restaurant. When the hotel is not full, there is no buffet, but a limited al la carte menu. No sugar free cool drinks. The ‘malls’ nearby, are not actually what I would call a mall. No supermarkets in the vicinity. Many people asking for money, but please don’t give as you can be fined. Be careful of the New Year in September as everything closes at 13:00 the day before and remain closed for a few days. I never saw international food chains and this is a good thing. Awesome ice cream.

I booked this hotel soley because of the pool for the value. Every booking website shows this hotel has a pool, which they do not. The pool in the photos has been filed in with no other type of water accommodation. Since I only found out about the pool upon my arrival. I immediately started the process of changing my reservation to another hotel, which didnt even make it a full day as I checked in after 12am. My room did have another door with a separate lock (not the room key) which I found to be weird. I was able to eat from the breakfast buffet, which was standard, nothing to really write about. The hotel does have airport pickup which the drivers were very nice and helpful. So I rate this 4 stars since I did not have a chance to fully experience the hotel.

The hotel is in a very good area, however, the rooms are not well furnished, have not been renovated and staff are not accommodating. Many better hotels are available in the area.

Agoda did not pay the hotel and ended up double the charges to me. the hotel refused to let us go until payment was made and we showed the hotel Agoda was paid.
