We had two nights at the hotel. The first night was booked because we knew we'd be arriving very late that day and basically needed an early checkin option for the next day's stay. Upon arrival we asked if we'd have the same room for both nights and were told yes. They put us in the Nelli suite (an upgrade). There was water on the floor of the hallway bathroom. During a violent thunderstorm overnight the power went out and there was a leak from the roof in the main bedroom that caused a pool of water on the floor. Getting up with no lights it was slippery and could have resulted in a slip and fall. Management sent someone to mop up all the water. Later that morning we were asked to move to our originally booked room because there was a booking for the room we were in for that day. So, we packed up and they assisted us moving our luggage to the new location. Power was restored to the Nelli suite by a maintenance person locating the breaker box. Internet was only accessible in the lodge area, but never came back on in our room by the time we checked out. Second room was fine with plenty of space and no leaks. First breakfast buffet was not hot, scrambled eggs were cold, but they offered to not charge for that meal. Second morning breakfast was fine.

We loved our stay at the Tanarind Tree Hotel. It was a beautiful and peaceful haven after a long and tiring flight from UK. It was teeming with birds and wildlife and was very relaxing. The staff were charming, friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. We would definitely have liked to stay longer!

Paradise of a place, close to the airport and perfect for tranquility and overcoming the time difficulties. The staff are wonderful, helpful, kind and welcoming. The spacious chalets are so much better than most hotel bedrooms. The grounds are like a botanical garden with exotic birds everywhere. Wonderful swimming pool. The breakfasts are good but our only criticism is that the buffet evening meal being the only choice, was average and overpriced.
