25.11.20The Jinjiang Inn in Beijing offers great value for money with comfortable, clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful, though they would benefit from better English skills for foreign tourists. The main drawback is that the location is a bit far from the nearest train/subway station. Overall, it is recommended and worth returning to.
25.11.09Initially I made a booking for a hostel in another location (also equally accessible to attractions), but that hostel refused my booking as they claimed they were unable to process bookings made with a passport and could only accept China identification cards. So I had to last-minute book a hotel, and I found this hotel, which turned out to be an absolute blessing in disguise.
Price is decent, almost the same as my original booking, but I got my own room with ensuite bathroom, included toiletries, tea and coffee, and daily room cleaning/tidying.
Room is spacious, heater works well, bed is comfy, linen is clean.
There is a good selection of food nearby, some of which end rather late which works out well for those who spend a long time out exploring attractions. The nearest subway station is not too far, about 10-15 mins walk, and there is an affordable legitimate massage place opposite the main road along which the subway is located. Overall, this was truly a blessing in disguise, and I would definitely recommend/return to this hotel again.
