Quite suprising to know the genuine and respectful staff were able to adhere to my requests and grant me extended stay, at least 3 times, for a total 2 weeks. Although, they are in the process of rebuilding and renovating the building, the staff are talented enough to handle all enquiries and attend to you with a satisfactory outcome. Prasanna, is a great communicator and does a great job at keeping all obstacles and negative energy out of the viscinity to ensure his customers are thoroughly comfortable. As much as he loves his TikTok Live Feeds, he is one to get things done behind the scenes and is always on the ball no matter what. Sekar, as always is the go to man for all needs inside and outside of the hotel. I'd like to thanks the management and staff for their lovely hospitality. See you guys again in due course.

I was quite surprised on the first day when i checked in. The staff here operate on a very chilled means and I did not, for once, have any complications with get things sorted in my room, for the 2 weeks I stayed. Must i mention, i overstayed and ended up booking them longer than my intended period, and the manager was all good to move on and ensure my comfort at their hotel was crucial. They did not make me feel awkward one bit for the sudden changes in my plans, they all agreed to make sure I was ok and ensured they did their part to help a fellow traveller work things out. Sekar & Suhas, went above and beyond from day 1 with helping from fixing little damages, to ensuring hygiene at a decent level. For a place that was still recovering from the dramatic floods, just months prior, to me staying there, and as much as they had a lot of things to fix, it is up to us to understand that there is work in progress, and progress, regardless of what happens, still at work. And I learnt this with obedience at Metro City Hotel. I applaud all staff members, and neighbouring shops, for their unity and willingness to stand by eachother. I will definitely visit again, the next time I'm in Colombo, just to experience this solidarity in mankind, again. Thank You!

NOT GOOD BUT BUGGERT FRINDLY

Does not provide TV or other ‘expected of a hotel’ facilities like shower gel, body wash etc. Staff fine and helpful. For the price, you get an aircon room and own toilet. Room decent size. I felt safe and comfortable.

Room was ok. But I had to bring Toilet papers and drinking water bottles from a nearby shop. Staff was good.
