Stayed here recently. Check-in was quite okay lah, the staff helped to change my bed and explained the house rules nicely. But hor, realized everything here also need to pay. Usually, capsule hotels or guesthouses sure got provide free shampoo and body wash, but here totally don't have. End up I must go out and buy myself lor. The staff attitude was also quite inconsistent. On the second night, one manager just glared at me when I said hi. The rest of the staff were okay and would greet back. The funny thing is, the staff who was very nice on the first day suddenly completely ignored my greetings the day before I left. Also got smoking issue. I saw this same staff smoking at the non-smoking area three times, while I purposely went to the designated smoking area to smoke. Like that how to respect the rules when the local staff themselves don't follow? Make me wonder why I strictly follow the rules. Then during checkout time, the last day manager asked me again whether I am from South Korea or North Korea. I already told them very clearly earlier that I am from South Korea. I don't know if they lack sensitivity or doing it on purpose, but asking this again is quite offensive and unnecessary. Overall, this is the worst guesthouse experience for me. Really cannot make it.

It is rare to find a place in Singapore that has a relaxing vibe and just chill. One can find a place which tries too hard to be "Chill" at all. But here, it is. Rooms, shower and toiletries was clean. Good snacks and drinks sold at reasonable prices. And well done to the team staff, very accommodating.

This hostel is 20 min walk from 2 MRTs. If you don't like to walk then don't choose this. On days where u visit the zoo and all, it looks a long way. The hostel staff were very friendly. Bring ur own towel and soap, they won't be providing. I went on an off week maybe, there was only like 4 to 5 ppl. The common area was not the best place to socialise. But, the places is surrounded by pubs and bars. The beds don't have any screens. The breakfast is just bread with some spreads. Tho, It was cost worthy. It felt safe as a solo traveller.

Betel Box offers incredible value making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The cleanliness is top-notch, ensuring a comfortable environment, while the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and supported.
