26.01.01Decided to book here thanks to the huge discount that Agoda offered and would like to say that I did not regret to do so. This place is basic and covers the function of a hotel: a place to rest overnight. Now to debunk the claims of other reviews:
Yes, the floor was sticky if you walk on it barefoot. However, they do offer cleaning every other day.
Yes, it was cold, but bearable. There are heaters that are warm but barely keep the room warm. I may be biased as a person that gets cold easily, but the only way to be comfortable temperature-wise was to either have many layers on or to be under the covers. The water pressure of the shower was excellent, but the temperature is not as excellent. It was warm enough to shower but not warm enough to keep the warmth after the shower. We also spotted a vent in the bathroom that seemed to function as an odor and steam diffuser for the bathroom that vented out into the bedroom itself. Good for those who like the smell of bathroom.
There was no kettle. Towels can be asked from the reception for free and water is free from the canteen.
On the first night of our stay, we were joined by two little friends that were crawling on the pillow and near the trash can. If you are fond of tiny creatures, this is the place for you. Fortunately, we did not spot any more after getting rid of those two.
Furthermore, for those who are sharing a double bed with another person and got assigned to the side of the bed without a charging outlet in plain sight, don’t be unexploring like me and not draw the curtains open because I slept two nights charging my phone super far away from the bed near the TV when there was actually just a plug hidden right behind the curtain beside me.
Breakfast was what we looked forward to in the hotel. It was fine and sustainable considering the rest of the hotel and kept us full.
The staff were helpful. Although, they may seem slightly grumpy.
The location is very far and takes an hour+ to reach tourist destinations, but public transport in Stockholm is very efficient and makes up for it.
Overall, this hotel is pretty good but definitely has run-down vibes such as a door which requires Superman strength to fully close, soft pillows, and a non-functioning TV.
I’ve posted a more detailed review on Google with videos attached.
25.12.20We had to find a last minute booking and this was one of the few ones left in Stockholm. Very basic features, but I have no complaints as the staff was friendly and the rooms were pretty much what we expected. Simple and basic. Breakfast was better than expected, although a bit limited.
