This hotel is not recommended, at least not the minimum room. Once in the room you understand why it is cheap: - Moldy bathroom (no ventilator) - Moldy dirty shower curtains - Cabinetdoor half fallen apart - Lights in bathroom broken - Smoke smell in the hallway - Sex sounds from several room (are we in a brothel?) - People sleeping in the hallway chairs After complaining, I did get another room (cozy room), where both the hallway and the surroundings were quieter. The room was also more pleasant and clean (though not spotless). So if you do consider this hotel, please do yourself a pleasure an don't go for the cheapest room. Do yourself a better pleasure and stay at another hotel. The area is close to the Messe (conference hall), which is convenient, but it is in a bit sketchy area. Since Basel offers free public travel to hotel stayers, you can better stay a bit further away and take the tram.

The customer support team of Becozy was great; fast and efficient. We got a dirty room and after sending in some photos with complaints we swiftly received the keys to another cleaner room. It's terribly dusty there anyway, so we did clean the floor ourselevs again. But the shower is nice and the bed is comfy; the whole set up, perfectly minimal with a couple of hangers and chairs at the door. The door itself feels a bit flimsy if you're nervous traveller, but the downstairs lock system is cool and the street is nice. Next to the door a drinking water fountain with the basilisk.
