22.07.12Good hotel at riverside, near to everywhere
22.06.13This room is non-existent
22.05.10I have been in this hotel many times before covid restrictions occured and Cambodia was closed. I decided to come back now and was more than disappointed what happened to this hotel. Not only were the stuff completly uninterested to work, but the whole hotel looked like shut down and I guess I was the only guest there. Breakfast was not offered as in the booking, only after request I was told I can get breakfast (what I denied when seeing how the food was "running"). Nothing was done in the last 2 years, no repairs, no renovations simply nothing. It was really disappointing. All in all the hotel is not worse it to stay and with me they lost a loyal custumer this time. I wont come back anymore.
22.04.17I cannot believe how lazy and unfriendly the staff are here. Practically every time I came downstairs the usual place I would see the guy on duty was asleep on 2 chairs placed side by side. I stayed here on 2 occasions for 4 nights and every day came down for breakfast, around 9.40, “man asleep” I always said Good Morning or Hello, was met with silence and a blank look.
When he got his act together he served me breakfast. On most days the breakfast dishes were still on my table at 3 or 4pm and most days I was the only guest.
On the second last day, as usual i came down for breakfast at 9.45 greeted the usual guy and sat awaiting food, it hadn’t arrived and at 10.03 I went to the back to find him asleep, on asking for my breakfast he looked blank at me (usual look you get) play dumb and hope I’ll go away. He then gesticulated it was past 10.00 so breakfast NO!
I won that battle eventuality but what disgusting customer service!
The suite rooms at the front are huge and with great views over the river but have many faults, I stayed in 3 of them and all were needing a deep clean not just a wipe round of the usual places, all had around 25% of bulbs not working, one outside sliding door would not lock, one a/c only cooled to 28* cigarette buts left in ashtrays or on balcony and some just tossed in bulk to a plant box which by the way had a dead bush in.
They advertised a roof bar and eating area with superb views over the river is, and has been for a long time never used, it’s a total mess up there and will take a lot of time and money to renovate it, and as they won’t replace cheap light bulbs I can’t see this ever happening.
Please stay at a hotel where the staff want you there, are friendly and say Hello in the morning and Good Bye when you leave, this place has no respect for their paying customers and are selling on the fact that they have a good river view and that’s all.
22.04.12The Quay has a great location and may have once been a good value. But right now its roof top facilities are abandoned, the ground flour cafe is dark, and the staff are not capable to deal with requests from guests; they don't speak English. The standard room is simply unacceptable at the price point - very small and worse - NO REAL WINDOW. The front "suites" are better; they aren't as posh as in the photos, but space is good and view is great. The entire hotel is, perhaps understandably, run-down and a bit sad. I wish the hotel and its staff well, but I would recommend travelers look elsewhere at this time. I checked out after one night of my three night (pre-paid) stay.
