Very convenient for Yuzawa area and provides free parking. Public onsen is great. There is shuttle to certain ski resort and a rental shop just opposite to the hotel with great deal.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Hotel Angel Grandia Echigo Nakazato in Yuzawa. The hotel is located a bit far from areas where you can easily walk to restaurants, but this was not a problem for us because we already knew that and had rented a car. The hotel is large, yet the price is very reasonable. The room was surprisingly spacious, and the onsen was also large, clean, and fully equipped with useful amenities. The parking area was wide and had more than enough space for guests. The staff were also able to communicate in English without any issue. Overall, I am very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Yuzawa in the future.

Excellent location for kids to ski and snowboard. Lifts are next to the hotel and the ski lesson instructors were very patient during the lesson.

Very basic accommodations. They don't even provide shampoo/conditioner in your room - you have to pick up the packets in the lobby or go to the onsen. Rooms are clean but very basic. The hotel offers amenities including onsen, massage chairs and ski lockers. Ski lockers don't really fit much given the partitions in the locker. Not much around the hotel except for the Nakazato train station (this isn't the main one). To get the main train station with the shinkansen and ski buses, you will have to take a crowded hotel shuttle (need to line up and go based on schedule) to get there. There is a Family Mart inside the hotel - other than that you really need to take the bus to go to the main street for food and shopping.

our 2nd time here and we enjoyed our stay very much!
